Amidst the ongoing discussion about the “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP) in the country, another new political party has made its entry. Former Supreme Court judge, Justice Markandey Katju, has announced the formation of the ” Isk Karo Party” (Make Love Party” – IKP). Along with this, he has also launched a membership drive for the party. Justice Katju stated that his party would work to raise grassroots and real issues of the country.

Targeting CJP and Abhijit Deepke
With the announcement of the party, Justice Katju also questioned the working style of the Cockroach Janta Party and its founder, Abhijit Deepke. He remarked that merely demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would not solve the country’s problems.
……….
Katju wrote on social media that even if the Education Minister resigns, someone else will take his place. In such a situation, making the demand for resignation the main goal of the movement is not practical.
……….
Criticizing Abhijit Deepke, he added that a broader perspective is needed on the major issues facing the country.

Membership Drive Launched, Opportunity to Become Office Bearers
………………………………………………….
Justice Katju stated that the membership process for those interested in joining the “Make Love Party” has begun. He described himself as the patron of the party and provided an email ID for interested people to contact. He said that the party president is Irfan Ali, and capable and agreeable people could also be given important responsibilities in the organization.
………..
According to him, the objective of the party is not just to engage in politics, but to prioritize positive thinking and public interest issues in society.

Unemployment, Poverty, and Health to be Main Issues
…………………………………………………….
Katju says his party will work on significant subjects such as unemployment, hunger, poverty, education, and the lack of health services. He believes that the country’s politics should move beyond religious and emotional issues and focus on the problems of the common people. He mentioned that millions of youth are facing an employment crisis, and the poor section is struggling for basic amenities. In this context, political parties should work seriously on these issues.

CJP’s Movement Continues
………………………………………………………………
On the other hand, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke has clarified that his movement regarding alleged irregularities in examinations and paper leak cases will continue. He stated that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and the protest will continue until their demand is met. Deepke alleged that in the last several years, politics has been mainly limited to Hindu-Muslim debates, while serious problems like unemployment and the education system are continuously increasing. Following the recent protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, he has hinted at intensifying the movement.

Analysis-
………………….
This news reflects a new kind of change and debate in the Indian political landscape. The analysis is as follows:
Departure from Traditional Politics – The naming of parties like ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP) and ‘Make Love Party’ (IKP) indicates that the current youth and intellectual segments are dissatisfied with the functioning of traditional political parties. These names are being used as a form of protest.
Difference in Approach – While Abhijit Deepke (CJP) considers demanding the resignation of a minister from the ruling party as the main objective of the political battle, Justice Markandey Katju considers this insufficient from a practical perspective. Katju emphasizes systemic change over personal resignation.
……..
Addressing Fundamental Issues – Leaders of both parties are raising issues such as unemployment, education, and health, which shows how serious these problems have become in Indian society. There is a growing public interest in public-welfare programs rather than religious and emotional issues.
Impact on Society – The naming of Katju’s ‘Make Love Party’ conveys a message of social harmony and positive thinking. However, only time will tell how successful such symbolic parties will be in the political arena.
……..
The differences between these two parties show that current opposition politics is not just against the government, but is also divided by its own differing methodologies.
