In Vadodara, Gujarat, a woman blocked a road near Sursagar Lake, staging a sit-in protest after a golgappa vendor allegedly gave her only four puris instead of six for her Rs 20.
In a surprising turn of events in Vadodara, Gujarat, a woman brought traffic to a standstill over a dispute with a golgappa vendor. While the city is no stranger to traffic jams caused by festivals, rallies, or heavy rains, this time the culprit was a beloved street snack golgappas.
The drama unfolded near Sursagar Lake when the woman, upset over being shortchanged, claimed the vendor gave her only four puris instead of the six she expected for her 20 rupees. Feeling cheated, she took matters into her own hands, plopping down in the middle of the road for a sit-in protest, demanding her “two more pani puris” before she’d move.
She alleged that the vendor gave her only four pani puris instead of six for Rs. 20. Later Police arrived and assured the woman that she will get Justice.
Curious onlookers whipped out their phones, recording as drivers carefully navigated around her. A crowd soon formed, turning the scene into a spectacle. When the police showed up to sort things out, the situation got even more dramatic. The woman, now in tears, pleaded with officers to uphold justice, six puris for 20 rupees, nothing less.
For hours, the standoff over the missing puris held up traffic. Eventually, the police convinced the woman to leave, and the road was cleared. Whether she ever got those extra puris, though, remains a mystery.
