US President Donald Trump’s medical examination report describes him as being in “exceptional health.” The report, released by the White House on Friday, stated that Trump’s “cardiac age” is 14 years younger than his actual age. This assessment was conducted by White House physician Sean Barbabella and was released by Press Secretary Caroline Levitt.
Donald Trump is currently 79 years old, and when he re-assumed the White House in January, he became the oldest president in US history. However, his fitness report indicates that his body and heart are much younger than his age.
Dr. Barbabella wrote in the report, “Trump’s cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance are all in excellent condition.” He added that the president has received the necessary health checkups, his annual flu vaccine, and an updated COVID-19 booster vaccination ahead of his upcoming international travel.

The White House report stated that an ECG test revealed Trump’s “cardiac age” to be approximately 14 years younger. According to doctors, this is an indicator of heart function and overall health. Trump’s medical examination took place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Bethesda, Maryland), traditionally the primary medical center for US presidents. This visit came six months after his comprehensive health checkup last April.
Trump made his health an election issue
The April report stated that Trump was 6 feet 3 inches (190 cm) tall, weighed 224 pounds (about 102 kg), and that his cholesterol was under control. At that time, doctors also praised his fitness and regular golfing habits.
The report comes at a time when Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 election race amid questions about his fitness. In the last election campaign, Trump had made his health condition a major election issue by describing himself as more fit and energetic than Biden.
