Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has himself stepped in to control the situation. In New York, Trump met Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. According to Al Jazeera’s Kimberly Halkett, Sheikh Mohammed met US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House before the dinner with the US President, where they discussed the Israeli attack and the US-Qatar security arrangement.
