“A deserted monk has been accused of sexually assaulting 17 college girls. He is a self-proclaimed religious guru. He is the director of a famous ashram and a private management college in Delhi. His name is Swami Chaitanyanananda Saraswati, whose earlier name was Parthasarathy. He is one of the principals of the Shree Sarada Institute of Management in Delhi’s Basant Kunj and is currently the director of the ashram.
Chaitanya Nanda, who is accused of molesting and sending obscene messages to students, has written 28 books. All his books are sold on various online platforms. An organisation called ‘Researchgate’ has also given him the title of ‘Shankaracharya Utsav Vidya’, a monk of the Vedic tradition.
The organisation’s website describes him as “Chaitanyanananda, one of the senior disciples of religious guru Swami Dayananda Saraswati”. Under the guidance of his guru, he He studied various religious scriptures for over 12 years. Especially the Upanishads, Brahmasutra and Bhagavad Gita from the Vedanta Vidyalaya. He is also mentioned as a renowned professor at the Sri Sarada Institute of Management.
Another education website claims that Chaitanya Nanda’s profile states that he holds MBA and PhD degrees from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. He also holds post-doctoral degrees and degrees. He also claims to have seven honorary degrees from various universities in India and abroad.
“It is alleged that the father used to lure the girls by promising them diplomas and scholarships from the ashram organization. He used to keep an eye on the girls from backward or economically backward families. Swami Chaitanyanananda would also threaten them with failing their exams if they protested his lewd behavior or tried to create problems in the matter.
“According to the allegation, sexual harassment and mental torture went on day after day under the roof of the ashram. Although they could not open their mouths at first due to pressure from the religious guru, 17 of the victim students recently came forward to the police station alone. Based on all the explosive allegations, the Delhi Police raided. During the investigation, the investigators had already found WhatsApp messages sent by the guru to 50 students. Almost all the messages contained obscene and sexually suggestive language.
“The college girls alleged that ‘Guruji’ used to call them at night and force them to send obscene messages. He would also force some students to have physical intimacy with him. If any student did not agree to the proposal or did not respond to the messages, he would try to get the job by using friends and staff of the ashram.”
He also forces girls to have physical intercourse when he finds them alone.
